Adam hails from the foothills of West Virginia, where he was taught the weight and influence of words through his love of books and his father’s sermons. He moved to Portland, OR, in 2010 to pursue his Master of Arts in Book Publishing from Portland State University. He now works as an associate editor for Night Owls Press and a freelance book designer.
You can find him at various spoken word events and readings around the city, including Caffeinated Art, ODE, and the Ink Noise Review. Some publications include Unshod Quills, Gobshite Quarterly, Cactus Heart, PDX Mag, Red Ochre Press, Black&White, Pathos Literary Magazine, and Floating Bridge Press. His first chapbook How to Construct a Body was self-published in the summer of 2013. Check out his website, jadamcollins.com, for information on his projects, and more importantly, more poetry.
